The Election Process
Our School Council is comprised of representatives from each class.
At the start of the year pupils nominated themselves for a position on school council and pitched their manifestos to their class.
Each candidate completed an initial application to support them with their presentation considering:
- their strengths
- their skills set
- why they wanted the role
- what they would like to achieve as a school councillor
Each class voted for their candidates in a secret ballot which was set up just like real polling station.
The school also two of the MP's to sit on the Waterton Academy Trust parliament. For more information visit here: Waterton Parliament
